Continental Tyre South Africa (CTSA) proudly congratulates Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) on the production of its 3 millionth Polo at the Kariega manufacturing facility – a remarkable achievement that underscores VWSA’s legacy of excellence in the South African automotive industry.

As a long-standing original equipment (OE) partner, Continental has been supplying tyres to VWSA since 1985, supporting the production of various Polo models with premium tyres engineered for safety, performance, and reliability.

Over the years, CTSA has delivered millions of tyres to VWSA, with supply volumes peaking in 2015, when nearly 520,000 tyres were provided to support the growing demand for locally manufactured Polos. These figures reflect the strength of the partnership and the trust placed in Continental’s OE expertise.
